Your organization on LaneHelp

Organization accounts give verified local teams a reviewed public presence and scoped tools for keeping their own information current. Start with the request that matches your situation; every official connection goes through human review before Org Mode access is granted.

Start here

Choose the right starting point

The request flow handles three different situations. Choose the one that matches your relationship to the organization.

Claim an existing organization

Choose this when your organization already has a LaneHelp page and you officially represent it. Search for the existing page, explain your role, and provide a practical way to verify the connection.

Request a new organization

Choose this when you officially represent a Lane County organization that does not have a LaneHelp page yet. LaneHelp checks for duplicates before creating a new public presence.

Suggest an organization

Choose this when you know an organization should be included but you do not represent it. A suggestion can improve public coverage, but it does not grant account or editing access.

A reviewed connection

What happens after you ask

Organization access is attached to a signed-in person and reviewed before LaneHelp connects that person to an organization.

1. Create or sign in to your LaneHelp account

The request belongs to your personal LaneHelp account so LaneHelp can return a decision and keep organization access attributable. Email, social, and supported phone sign-in paths are available.

2. Describe the organization and your connection

The short request asks for the organization, your role, a website or organization email when available, a brief explanation, and source links that help LaneHelp verify the relationship.

3. LaneHelp reviews the request

A human reviews official-representative requests before access is granted. The first approved representative for a new organization becomes its Owner; an additional approved representative normally joins as an Admin when an Owner already exists.

4. Open Org Mode

After approval, Org Mode provides the organization-scoped tools available to your role. Pending or rejected requests do not unlock the dashboard.

What Org Mode includes

The account is meant for keeping an organization’s own public presence and connected information useful—not for controlling the wider LaneHelp platform.

Public organization page

Maintain a reviewed public organization page with approved details and a stable LaneHelp address that your team can share.

Linked listings and corrections

See resources LaneHelp has confirmed your organization manages and propose source-backed corrections. Listing changes remain in LaneHelp review until approved.

Team access

Invite teammates and use simple organization roles so public information is not dependent on one person’s account.

Lanes

Share organization updates, tag participating organizations, ask operational questions, and confirm information about services your team manages.

Shelter status where applicable

Confirmed shelter Owners and Admins can publish time-sensitive bed and intake status for shelters LaneHelp has linked to their organization.

Clear boundaries

Access and trust boundaries

Verification shows a reviewed relationship to one organization. It is not a blanket endorsement or a key to the rest of LaneHelp.

Organization access is scoped

Owning or administering an organization does not make someone a LaneHelp administrator and does not grant access to unrelated organizations, moderation queues, private analytics, or internal operations.

Review still matters

Organization representatives can maintain their own page and propose connected listing changes, but they cannot approve their own claims or bypass LaneHelp review and audit history.

Listings remain free and neutral

Organizations do not have to pay to be listed. Payment does not determine search ranking, visibility, verification, or endorsement.

Privacy and safety come first

Organization tools are not for exposing sensitive private locations, tracking individual help-seeking behavior, or creating enforcement-oriented profiles.

Source and boundary note

Organization accounts are scoped to reviewed relationships and approved roles. They do not create LaneHelp administrator access, guarantee approval, replace provider responsibility for current information, or change search ranking and visibility.

LaneHelp.org explains LaneHelp’s mission, public trust boundaries, changes, privacy, and ways to work together.

LaneHelp.com remains the working platform; these pages provide a clearer local or public-trust path into it.
